To provide seniors, people with disabilities, and students in Lahore with accessible and affordable transit, the Punjab government has started an impressive initiative.

This new initiative, though only for a brief three-month period, will grant these groups free use of the Orange Line and Metro system.

The announcement is a huge relief for the many Lahore residents who rely on public transport.

Senior citizens, those with special needs, and students up to the 12th grade will primarily benefit from this effort. University students will, however, have to pay a small commuter fee.

Older people must be eligible and have a current ID card on them in order to use the free transportation service.

However, students must wear a uniform and present their student ID cards in order to ride the Orange Line and Metro Bus.
