Ride-sharing service available online After discontinuing operations in five major cities, including Karachi and Islamabad, Uber has now stopped operating in Lahore for around a year and a half.

Customers have received an email from the corporation informing them of their abrupt decision, which was made public with no previous notice.

The ride-sharing business has not disclosed the factors that led to its sudden decision to leave Lahore.

However, as part of their reimbursement, Uber is providing a Careem discount. Customers may get a 50% discount on their next five Careem rides by using the code LHR50, according to the statement.

“We’ve made the difficult decision to no longer offer the Uber app services in Lahore as of April 30, 2024,” Uber wrote in an email to its clients in Lahore. We will still provide ride-hailing services under our subsidiary brand Careem, and for a seamless experience, you may sign up and request a trip on Careem.
