After turkey, Pakistan is now the second Muslim country to be producing Cardiac stents. On Friday PM Imran Khan inaugurated the first facility for confined production of cardiac stents in the country.

The facility namely, N-ovative health technologies (NHT) has been inaugurated at national university of sciences and technology (NUST).

This innovative step is supposed to help the citizens in two ways. Not only would it provide an affordable medical solution and treatment to the locals, it will also help boost up the country’s export.

Imran Khan said: “These locally made stents will be available at a much lower price and will significantly reduce the cost of treatment of heart diseases. When [Turkish] President [Recep Tayyip] Erdogan came into power, his country was facing the same economic issues that we face today, “But he overcame all the issues by increasing his country’s exports.”
