Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) has announced yesterday that they have made a huge discovery of more than one trillion cubic feet of gas in Kalat, Balochistan
Yesterday, Senior Minister of Punjab and Minister of Food, Abdul Aleem Khan posted a tweet stating: “Discovery of 1 trillion+ cubic feet of gas in Kalat, Balochistan, brings good news in controlling Pakistan’s energy crisis for the residential and commercial sector,”
The minister also stated that this new discovery will help in stabilizing the economy as foreign exchange reserves are currently upset due to bulky LNG imports with an amount of $15-16 billion.
This discovery will also help in covering the gap of supply and demand of gas in Pakistan.
