Monal restaurant at Margalla hills, Islamabad to be demolished by the government

Zartaj Gul Wazir, minister for climate change has recently revealed that the federal Government has decided to shut down Monal restaurant at Margalla Hills National Park, Islamabad.

The restaurant has been closed off by the government for a few months now because they started chopping of trees in the surrounding area to increase their own area..

During an interview with Urdu news, Zartaj Gul said that the government will not only oppose the construction process in national parks but will also take required action against it by demolishing existing ones.

Gul further added that these businesses which are established in the national parks are earning in millions but are not directing enough funds under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) agreement for the preservation and restoration of these parks. Instead, these businesses operating in the country’s national parks try to expand illegally whenever they find an opportunity to do so.
