One more day of the lockdown in the city seen on Sunday as markets and other industries continued to  be shut.

A day before this, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar had gone to check different parts in Lahore to observe the lockdown condition personally.

The Punjab chief minister had given out remarks in which he notified of the increasing coronavirus positivity percentages in other cities of the province.

“In Lahore, the coronavirus positivity ratio has ascended to a dangerous level,” he had said. “We imposed a two-day lockdown (during the week) for the safety of the masses,” said Buzdar.

He said coronavirus cases were also increasing in other cities of Punjab as well, advising individuals to stay at home to ensure safety from the virus.

“The cabinet proposed the imposition of lockdown in Lahore and other cities (of Punjab) where the coronavirus positivity ratios are high,” he said.

He said if the circumstances did not come back to regular in other cities, the government would simply be compelled to enforce a comprehensive lockdown to protect people’s lives.
