Karachi Traffic Police Declares Increased Penalties Beginning November 1

The Karachi Traffic Police has raised fines for breaking the law in an effort to improve road safety and encourage people to follow the laws.

These fines will start to apply to all cars on November 1st, the Karachi Traffic Police said on its official social media accounts.

For motorcycle riders, the fine for violating the speed limit has been raised to Rs. 700, while it is now Rs. 1000 for vehicles and jeeps. Additionally, motorists will be fined Rs. 2000 for driving on the wrong side of the road and Rs. 3000 for drivers of cars.

The updated traffic penalty for some of the most typical infractions is listed below:
