Indian forces arrested dozens of mourners after opening fire in Muslim Majority region in Kashmir.

During Muharram processions, mourners were attacked by the police and then arrested. Many ended up being injured due to this.

Mourners were attacked with tear gas and pellet guns.

In this India Occupied Kashmir (IOK) region, around 97% of masses are Muslims. As they were leading the Muharram processions on 10th of Muharram, police stopped them with violence and put further restrictions so that no more processions would be carried out.

Many Muslims still tried to carry out the processions with “free Kashmir” banners in their hands.
