India needs to stop the violation of human rights; OIC appealed to the United Nations

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has put forward an appeal in front of the United Nations (UN) to ask New Delhi to stop the violation of human rights the Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK).

The situation had worsened last year in August when India abolished Article 370 of the constitution. Article 370 held importance as it provided the state of India Occupied Jammu and Kashmir s special status.

The member of OIC, in New York showed deep concerns over the matter of continuous violations by India in the Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Munir Akram, Pakistan’s representative in the UN delivered Pakistan’s foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s message regarding the BJP continuous efforts in changing the demography of IOK through new formed laws.

The issuance of over 1 billion new properties will convert the Muslim majority area into a Hindu majority one bringing in the demographic changes.
