On Wednesday, at General Headquarters, Assistant Superintendent of Police Syeda Shehrbano Naqvi paid a visit to General Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS).

COAS praised ASP Shehrbano for her professionalism and selfless commitment to duty in defusing a tense situation. On February 26, 2024, the courageous cop freed a lady from the hazardous environment of Ichra Bazaar in Lahore.

General Asim Munir recognized the important role Pakistani women play in all spheres of society. Due to their skill, perseverance, and dedication, Pakistani women have made a name for themselves both domestically and internationally since the country’s independence.

COAS emphasized that women play a crucial role in Pakistani culture and that both our social code and religion uphold the value of women.

He also emphasized the value of maintaining social peace and the necessity of reaching a national agreement to reduce bigotry. He placed a strong emphasis on the rule of law and cautioned against enforcing the law on oneself when there are legal channels available to resolve issues and complaints.

Noting that arbitrary acts based on heresy damage society’s perspective, COAS emphasized the enduring message of love and generosity found in Islam.

In order to guarantee the safety and security of Pakistani citizens, law enforcement agencies made sacrifices that were recognized by the COAS.
