An earthquake of magnitude 4.2 rocks Zhob, Balochistan

Balochistan’s Zhob region and surrounding areas were rocked by an earthquake on Thursday that registered a magnitude of 3.6 on the Richter scale,

The earthquake’s epicentre was located 123 km north of the depth of 15 kilometres, according to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre.

Fearfully, people emerged from their houses and began reciting passages from the Holy Quran.

But thus far, no reports of fatalities or property damage have come from any area of Zhob.

On January 6, parts of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir experienced a 6.0-magnitude earthquake.

Swat, Lower Dir, Upper Dir, Islamabad, Lahore, Swabi, Kohat, Abbottabad, Sargodha, Peshawar, Batgram, Khyber, Landi Kotal, Barra, Chitral, and other regions of Pakistan experienced the seismic earthquakes.

The epicentre of the earthquake was located in the Hindukush area, and the seismological centre reported that the earthquake was 213 km deep. Reciting Kalma-e-Tayyaba, people emerged from their dwellings terrified.
