A drop seen in third wave of covid-19 in Pakistan

The third wave of COVID-19 has gradually dropped. As many as 47,000 to 55,000 tests each day were conducted this week, with the state positivity ratio dropping progressively to an average of fewer than 4%. Whereas, as projected, the third wave in Sindh initiated after other provinces, with the positivity percentage in the province still altering between 6-7%.

The PM’s Special Assistant on Health Dr. Faisal Sultan revealed the mentioned info while giving most recent updates on disease spread, immunization, and rotation of fake news in a video message just today. He credited the drop in the third wave of COVID-19 to the government’s lockdown strategy, implementation of SOPs, and greater inoculation endorsement and administration.

Acknowledging all nationals for their support, the SAPM advised that the “fight against COVID is not over yet.” He said, obedience of SOPs is repeatedly being checked across all areas in every federating division, and the NCOC has already warned all businesses that obedience is not up to the mark. “The national compliance of SOPs across all provinces and sectors stands at 46%. A sector-wise breakdown portrays hospitals as showing 70% compliance, followed by airports/bus stands/railway Stations (50%), public places (42%), mosques/imambargahs (41%), transport sector (40%), businesses (40.28%) and industry (38%).”
