The admission of vehicles that release smoke and vehicles with pressure horns into Lahore has been outlawed by the Punjab government.

Following the instructions of Dr. Usman Anwar, Inspector General of Police for Punjab, and Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, the decision is effective as of October 11.

The Environmental Protection Agency and the campaign are working together to fight the alarming amount of smog in the provincial capital.

Additionally, IG Punjab has mandated that any unfit vehicle be given a certificate. Additionally, a motor vehicle examiner will be called for assistance whenever necessary.

Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code has been implemented by the administration to reduce smog in the provincial capital. In all districts of the Lahore division, burning crop debris in fields has been outlawed.

Tractor-trolleys that are carrying sand or other materials without the necessary cover are also not allowed to enter Lahore. Strict efforts were recently declared by the district administration to combat the haze that is becoming more severe in the provincial capital.

Schools, markets, and factories will all be closed on Wednesdays if allowed by the government. The recommendations state that government agencies should operate with only half of their typical workforces.

A crackdown against cars that create toxic smoke has also been declared by the Rawalpindi City Traffic Police. Such vehicles are not permitted to enter the city, and they will also face steep fines.
