The Pakistan Super League’s ninth season is underway, and on Wednesday, the local team Karachi Kings will play Islamabad United in Match 15.
The Kings will be looking to continue their winning record in the major tournament as they play their first game at home.
Following a cloudy beginning to their PSL 9 campaign, the Kings were defeated by the Multan Sultans but rallied to surprise both Peshawar Zalmi and Lahore Qalandars.
In the PSL 2024 league standings as of February 28, the team is ranked fourth. The Kings have won two of their last three games.
Led by Shadab Khan, Islamabad United had a strong start to the PSL 2024 season, but many upsets against the Multan Sultans, Quetta Gladiators, and Zalmi halted their progress.
With just one victory and three straight losses, they are ranked fifth, second from the bottom, in the points table. The team in form is now aiming for a victory over the Karachi Kings.
The team that wins the toss will probably choose to bat first at Karachi Stadium in order to take advantage of the new surface and strive for a huge total.
