China will give 500,000 extra doses of the coronavirus vaccine to Pakistan this month, as stated by Parliamentary Secretary on Health Dr Nosheen Hamid.

“China has already donated 1.5 million doses of the coronavirus vaccine to Pakistan,”  mentioned Dr Hamid as of today as she talked to media, further stating that the 500,000 doses from Beijing will be transported to Pakistan this month.

Talking about the pandemic and the government’s vaccination procedure, Dr Hamid clarified that individuals were not getting themselves listed for the coronavirus vaccine shot.

“As of now, a little over 2 million people have gotten themselves registered [for the vaccine],” she stated. “Out of these, 650,000 are healthcare workers.”

Dr Hamid mentioned that the government will start a campaign that would motivate the common people to get immunized against the virus.

Other than the offered vaccine doses from China, the health secretary clarified that Pakistan will also obtain the delivery of coronavirus vaccine dosages from China that the country has bought.
