In order to even out the academic loss during these past months due to covid-19, the government has announced that no winter vacations will be given this year. The holiday on Saturday in federal schools has also been ended.

A letter has been issue to the federal directorate of education in which they were asked to arrange classes on Saturdays as well so that the progress that was stopped due to closure of schools could be restored.

Further final decisions regarding re-opening of schools from 15th September will be announced on 7th September.

More decisions will be announced about the SOPs and measures the schools will have to follow in order to reopen schools.

Government expects strict SOPs to be followed so that they can then allow the reopening of schools in stages.
