No rote learning! A new examination pattern to be planned

0

Rote learning is quite a popular trend in the education system of Pakistan and its not new. Finally this issue is getting some attention from the authorities as they have now decided to revise and look in to the pattern o examinations. The board of intermediate and matriculation will carry out keen observation to change the basic pattern of examination in Pakistan so that this trend of rote learning among students could be lessened.

Majorly, reasoning and conceptual things will be added more so that students will not have an option to simply memorize the page for the sake of just passing an exam rather it will be an opportunity for them to actually gain knowledge in insight from it.

By next year, board of intermediate and secondary education (B.I.S.E), is planning on converting the examination system to a conceptual based one.

With this pattern implemented, students will no longer be able to write the lines they memorized rather they will have to present their own input and reasoning in the paper.

A high-level committee will be assigned the task of monitoring the progress regarding this.

Before the final implementation of this decision, a final decision of approval will be taken from higher education commission (HEC) as well.
