The National Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT), which was scheduled for September 10 (Sunday), has been postponed once more, according to the acting Federal Health Minister.

“In the best interests of Aspirant medics we would delay the MDCT exams for a reasonable time so they get more prepared,” the minister wrote in a post about the development on its official X handle.

“We value you and hope that all students will return the favour. The health ministry will go above and beyond to provide relief for all Pakistanis, he said.

He noticed the MDCAT students’ worries and asked the appropriate authority to look into it with the utmost consideration for the students, which led to the delay.

A social media user shared a PMDC alert for the candidates in the meantime. It states that the exam date has been postponed for students from flood-affected areas.

The test will be held separately for the students in each area. The PMDC has not yet issued a formal statement in this regard.
