King Salman has dismissed two Saudi royals and four officials over corruption

Saudi Arabia’s King Salman has dismissed two royals from their positions after allegations of corruption erupted. Along with them, 4 other officers have been referred for an anti-corruption investigation.

According to the reports, King Salman fired Prince Fahd bin Turki bin Abdulaziz Al Saud who acted as the commander of joint forces in the Saudi-led war in Yemen, and dismissed his son Prince Abdulaziz bin Fahd from his post as deputy governor of al-Jouf region. 

In the beginning of the year 2018, Lt. Gen. Fahad only took over the kingdom’s Yemen war.

A press released statement read “suspicious financial dealings monitored at the Ministry of Defense, Anti-corruption officials shall complete the investigation procedures with all relevant military and civil officials, take the necessary legal measures against those involed and submit the outcomes,” 

Other than these two royals, four more officials are being investigated on King salman’s orders.
