IBA to remain closed for 2 days after coronavirus case emerged on campus

Educational institutes have been reopened all across the country after being closed off for 6 months due to the viral global pandemic. Only two days after the reopening,  the institute of business and administration has been closed off for two days as a students on campus has been tested positive for the coronavirus.

For the given time period, the teachers and students would not be allowed to enter the university premises. IBA has two campuses and both of the will remain closed for the time being and the educational activities will be paused.

According to IBA’s spokesperson, only the teachers and students will be kept off from entering university premises, the non-teaching staff will continue their work as before.

The student who has been infected is a hostel student and has joined the university from Islamabad after it reopened. He has taken classed with other students in this time.

The administration said that in order to stop the spread of this viral infection, they will be disinfecting both of their campuses.

The spokesperson did not clarify about the closure. He said “With the assistance of district administration, we have managed to conduct hundreds of Covid tests and the results were being awaited,”

Earlier this week, Riphah international university also got closed off after 16 covid-19 cases emerged there.
