China sends additional vaccine doses to Pakistan to cover shortage

After a shortage of vaccine shots in the country, a new batch of 1.55 million doses of coronavirus vaccine has received in Pakistan as of today, as per the National Command and Operation Centre.

Bringing it from China, a PIA plane transported the Sinovac vaccine to Islamabad. The NCOC said that China is workin constantly to make sure that there is an continuous vaccine supply to Pakistan.

Other than this, one more batch of two to three million doses of the coronavirus vaccine will most probably be coming to Pakistan in the coming week week.

The government wants to give vaccine shots to 70 million people–around 70% of the vaccine-eligible adult population before the beginning of the coming year i.e. 2022.

The virus has till now taken away 21,940 lives in Pakistan, while the total number of confirmed cases in Pakistan currently is 947,218.
