The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) decided to close Sialkot International Airport (SKT) to aircraft operations for the next two weeks on Wednesday.

The management of Sialkot Airport made an announcement stating that from May 6 to May 18, all local and international planes would not be able to use the airfield.

In the past, airports had to be periodically closed for upkeep and repairs in order to guarantee operational efficiency and safety.

A lack of passengers during Ramadan caused the cancellation of seventeen flights from different airlines that were scheduled to leave from Jinnah International Airport in Karachi.
