Covid situation in Lahore improving; Dr Yasmin Rashid

 Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid stated just today that the coronavirus situation in Lahore is getting better and the influence of the lockdown and restrictions will start to emerge in the coming few days. 

“The [full] impact of the lockdown and restrictions will become evident in the next two days,” Dr Rashid stated. She observed that the rate of positive covid cases in Lahore has dropped as well.

The minister showed expectations that public will keep on following coronavirus inhibition SOPs even as the infection rate drops. She also tossed her load behind PM Imran Khan’s position on lockdowns.

“The PM is right in saying that if we impose another [sweeping] lockdown, our economy will grind to a halt and there will be even more loss,” stated Dr Rashid. 

She have confidence that if people wear masks, wash hands and take the SOPs seriously then Pakistan can keep the economy on the normal track and defeat the coronavirus at the same time.

Concerning hospital load, the minister stated to the interviewers of the show that limit was at 30 to 40% in Lahore’s healthcare accommodations.

She advised the people to get in touch with Rescue 1122 if they want to get in a patient, as the facility has up-to-date data on the condition in hospitals.
