After 7 months, umrah finally resumed in Saudi Arab

After a long closure of six months due to coronavirus, umrah finally resumed in Saudia yesterday. With proper SOPs provided by the Saudi authorities, people wore masks and maintained a social distance to perform the umrah.

The pilgrim has been resumed partially. Muslims came in batches in order to perform umrah. 

Usually umrah pilgrim is carried out through out the year. Muslims can perform umrah anytime but this year it was different because the authorities had to put restrictions due to the global pandemic hence suspending the offering of pilgrim.

Now the are resuming it in stage i.e. only 6000 pilgrims will would be allowed in a day to perform umrah.

Saudi health minister said: “In an atmosphere of faith and with assured hearts… the first batch of pilgrims begin the pilgrimage in accordance with the precautionary measures laid out,”
