At its most recent launch event, Apple also unveiled the Watch Series 9 and its flagship Watch Ultra 2, in addition to the new iPhones. There have been a number of notable improvements made to both watches, but let’s start with the Watch Series 9.

Nine Apple Watch
The 41mm and 45mm sizes of the previous Apple Watch models are still available in both Bluetooth and cellular versions. In addition to being able to dim down to just 1 nit for a comfortable viewing experience during late-night use, the display can now achieve an impressive peak brightness of up to 2000 nits. This prevents any unwanted glare.

Apple’s new S9 chip, which boasts an impressive 60% increase in transistors over the S8 series chip, debuts with the Watch Series 9. It features a new 4-core NPU and a GPU that is 30% faster. Users can anticipate a noticeably faster operating system with smoother animations as a result, along with a battery life of about 18 hours.

The S9 chip, however, allows Siri requests to be processed immediately on the device, resulting in much quicker results since they no longer need to travel to the cloud and back.

A new pinch gesture that resembles the Apple Vision Pro is also available. This gesture depends on the accelerometer and gyroscope sensors’ ability to detect changes in blood flow and wrist movement. Using the double-tap feature, you can do things like play or pause music, snooze alarms, scroll through widgets, and answer or end calls.

The Watch S9 comes in aluminium and stainless steel casings and runs WatchOS 10. There are several colour options for the aluminium model, including starlight, midnight, silver, red, and pink. Options for the stainless steel version include silver, gold, and graphite.
