In a ceremony held on Thursday night at the Brennia Kottefaru resort in Raa Atoll, Maldives, Pakistani model Erica Robin was declared the victor of the first-ever “Miss Universe Pakistan” competition.
In the upcoming Miss Universe competition, which will take place in El Salvador, she will now represent Pakistan internationally.
Erica Robin, a 24-year-old fashion model in Pakistan, is a native of Karachi. Erica Robin graciously expressed her deep sense of honour and humility upon accepting the crown and mantle of Miss Universe Pakistan 2023.
She expressed her sincere desire to highlight the exquisite beauty found within Pakistan’s voluminous culture and traditions, which frequently go unnoticed in the media spotlight.
Erica passionately lauded the warmth and hospitality of the Pakistani people, extolling their generosity and kindness.
The franchise rights to Miss Universe Bahrain and Miss Universe Egypt are also owned by the Dubai-based Yugen Group, which also owns the franchise rights to the Miss Universe Pakistan pageant. However, social media backlash over Pakistan’s participation in this year’s Miss Universe competition and denials from the government that it had given its approval for such a contest and representation have dogged the Miss Universe Pakistan competition.
One of the oldest beauty pageants is the Miss Universe competition, which is currently in its 72nd year.
