Islamabad United’s captain Shadab Khan has stated today that his team is in good form regardless of a less practice, further stating that he is optimistic the team will win the PSL series one more time this year.

He said: “Our players have been participating in various leagues and international cricket. They all are in good form and I am confident that the form will continue in PSL and we’ll provide better results this time. We have learnt from mistakes we made in previous editions and are committed to not to repeat them. We went into the draft knowing what we need and we have picked exactly what was required for a better team combination,”

He applauded fast bowler Hassan Ali who has joined Islamabad United this year after leaving Peshawar Zalmi, saying that him being there in the dressing room proves to be motivating for other team members.

He further added: “He’s someone who can be beneficial for the team even if he doesn’t perform. His attitude of never giving up gives positive energy to the team’s environment,”

Talking about the “roti gang”, a group that has been created on Whatsapp,  he said: We now have Shaheen Shah Afridi, Harif Rauf and Fakhar Zaman in our group – they all are in Lahore Qalandars’ and I would want them to be with us as well,”
