For supporting Pakistan’s nuclear program, the Russian Army, and an Iranian electronics company, the United States (US) has blacklisted about 24 businesses and other organizations.

Russian, Pakistani, Latvian, Swiss, and Singaporean companies have been added to an export control list due to national security and policy concerns, according to the US Commerce Department.

Approximately 10 companies from Pakistan and the UAE have reportedly been added to the list as a result of their participation in Pakistan’s proliferation of nuclear and missile-related activities.

Moreover, two of the 24 companies involved are AO Kraftway Corporation PSC in Russia and Fiber Optic Solutions in Latvia, both of which produce fiber optic gyroscopes and other equipment. AO Kraftway Corporation PSC calls itself one of the largest Russian IT companies.

AO PKK Milandr; Milandr EK, Milandr ICC JSC, Milur IS, Microelectronic Production Complex (MPK) Milandr, and Ruselectronics JSC, as well as Swiss-based Milur SA, are also on the list.

In addition, the Commerce Department has placed four trading and supply companies in Singapore on a blacklist for their involvement in providing tools to the Iranian electronics company Pardazan System Namad Arman (PASNA), which the US Treasury sanctioned in 2018.

It is important to note that since Moscow invaded Ukraine in February of this year, the US has strictly restricted businesses with ties to the Russian military.
