Candidates supported by the PTI are leading in Pakistan’s election, surpassing the PML-N and PP, who are already formulating their coalition government plans.

On Sunday, Lahore’s PTI-backed candidate, Waseem Qadir, joined the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) amid accusations of horse-trading.

After seeing Maryam Nawaz in the provincial capital, Qadir, a former leader of the PML-N, declared his intention to join the previous governing party.

He conveyed his faith in Maryam and Nawaz Sharif’s ability to govern. He declared that he had conferred with the residents and friends of the constituency before deciding to join the PML-N.

Notably, Waseem Qadir won NA-121 in Lahore over Sheikh Rohail Asghar, the PML-N candidate.
