Prince Harry is reportedly attributing his growing estrangement from Hollywood actor John Travolta to interference from his elder brother, Prince William, further underscoring the deepening rift within the British royal family.
According to a report by entertainment outlet Radar Online, the Duke of Sussex, who has lived in the United States since stepping back from royal duties in 2020, is said to be upset over the waning relationship with the Grease star, with whom he allegedly bonded over shared personal grief and an interest in aviation.
The report suggests that Harry formed a friendship with Travolta in 2023, rooted in mutual experiences, including the actor’s fond memories of Princess Diana, Harry’s late mother. However, sources claim the actor has since grown distant, with Harry now feeling “ghosted” by the veteran film star.
The situation appears to have come to a head when Travolta posted a photograph on Instagram with Sam Asghari, the ex-husband of pop icon Britney Spears, an act that reportedly left Harry feeling sidelined. A source quoted by Radar Online stated that while Harry had no issue with Asghari personally, “it just made it painfully clear that John still makes time for others, just not for him anymore.”
Though Prince William has no known public connection to Travolta, Harry is reportedly “deeply suspicious” that his brother or someone within the royal circle may have influenced the actor’s decision to distance himself.
The source further claimed: “Harry believes William is turning people against him and this fuels his growing anxiety and sense of isolation. He has even considered reaching out to Travolta directly to ask what changed.”
Relations between the two royal brothers have remained strained for years, particularly since the release of Prince Harry’s memoir Spare, in which he offered a scathing account of his royal upbringing and sibling dynamics.
