Pakistani banks will be closed for three days in a row

Beginning this Saturday, banks in Pakistan will be closed for a three-day holiday weekend.

This year’s Kashmir Solidarity Day falls on a Monday. All commercial banks will be closed on Saturday and Sunday in addition to the final bank holiday.

The State Bank of Pakistan, the nation’s central bank, declared that on Monday, February 5, 2024, Kashmir Day, all banks in Pakistan will be closed.

SBP said in a statement that due to the public holiday, banks will be closed on Monday.

The Pakistani government proclaimed a nationwide minute of silence at 10 a.m. on February 5 and declared the day a national holiday last week.

In order to reiterate its unflinching support for the Kashmiris’ right to freedom and self-determination, Pakistan is commemorating Kashmir Solidarity Day.
