According to a report released on Tuesday by the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, a rollout of 5G mobile phone service is planned for August 2024 in Pakistan.

As Pakistan gets closer to the moment at which it will be able to adopt 5G, this represents a turning point in technical development.

This claim was made in response to the growing need for more advanced and rapid telecommunication services.

Officials have published a complete business plan for the launch of 5G services in the country.

Additionally, the telecom industry’s request for a free 5G spectrum allotment was denied. Instead, the government has chosen to assist companies in lowering the expenses related to developing their infrastructure.

The Ministry of Information Technology has made the decision to recruit a foreign consultant to ensure the successful implementation of 5G services.

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has been formally requested to select an experienced consultant who can offer wise advice on the impending project.

A summary for the creation of an Inter-Ministerial Advisory Committee, which will be crucial in determining the direction of 5G in Pakistan, has been given by the ministry to the Prime Minister’s office.
