Pakistan Medical association (PMA) has warned the public and government that just like it happened in other countries including America, India and Iran, a second wave of coronavirus can be seen to be coming soon in the country.

This second wave is more likely to being from educational institutes which were reopened after a drop in number of cases was observed.

It was said during a press conference conducted by the PMA, “Unfortunately, the government’s response so far is limited to the issuance of notifications of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), whose implementation is non-existent anywhere including schools, However, the situation on the ground is entirely opposite as no precautions were being observed in schools, which were opened in congested buildings,”

The warned that any carelessness from either the public or the government can become the trigger factor for a second wave of coronavirus.

The warned the public stating: “We appeal to the people to adhere to the SOPs and observe caution, limit movement and take precautions to save themselves and their loved ones from Covid-19 pandemic, which may prove to be even more fatal,”
