New restrictions imposed in Islamabad

Officials in Islamabad have taken a new decision to enforce a new set of limitations as the number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan and the capital continue to increase at a frightening rate.

Based on a notification by the city’s district magistrate, ” outdoor dining in restaurants will be closed at 10:00 pm in the Federal Capital during the weekdays, and for the weekends (Saturday& Sunday).”

The notification moreover mentioned that all market activities and outdoor dining events will remain on a stop during the weekends.

It explained that takeaway facilities will be permitted in the city all through the week, at all times.

The positivity level of coronavirus cases rose up to 8.4% in the federal capital.

As stated by the district health officer, about 443 cases were testified in Islamabad on Wednesday – which continues to be the maximum number of coronavirus cases reported in one day this year in the capital.

Based on the worrying numbers, the health official had advised against the imposition of more smart lockdowns in Islamabad..

“More restrictions will be imposed in Islamabad to curb the virus spread. Citizens should strictly follow coronavirus SOPs,” he had stressed.
