Days after his defeat in the general elections of 2024, Jahangir Khan Tareen made the decision on Monday to step down as the head of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) and depart from politics.

The business mogul announced the news on X, a social networking site that was once known as Twitter. He said, “I want to congratulate my opponents and thank everyone who supported me in this election.” I hold the Pakistani people’s will in the highest regard. I have thus made the decision to leave politics completely and resign from my role as Chairman of the IPP.

“My appreciation to each and every IPP member. I hope the very best for them. He prayed for Pakistan’s development and stated, “By the grace of Allah, I shall continue to serve my nation to the best of my ability in a private role.

The PTI-backed candidates defeated Mr. Tareen in what were thought to be his strongholds, NA-155 and NA-149.
