The Federal Minister for Planning, Development, Reforms & Special Initiatives, Asad Umar, has revealed that Karachi’s Green Line BRT project will be initiated with effect in a few months from now, i.e. September or August.
He further said that five other current developments under the Karachi Transformation plan belong to the federal government and that they will be accomplished by time.
The Minster also mentioned that approval of the Mehmoodabad Nala and advances will be occurring before July.
The Chinese bus company Zhongtong will deliver 100 units of 18-meter-long buses for the Green Line and Orange Line Bus Rapid Transport (BRT) schemes in Karachi. These buses will be green and orange and will function on the BRT courses.
The Chinese authorities related to the matter are testing these routes to guarantee their protection at the moment.
