When it comes to the next weekly review on January 31 for the first half of February, the caretaker administration is probably going to raise the prices of petrol and diesel.

According to reports, the Middle East is becoming more unstable owing to the Houthi rebels’ attacks on cargo ships that are connected to both the US and Israel. This has resulted in a rise in worldwide rates for petroleum.

On the advice of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority, the federal government updated the petroleum prices every two weeks (OGRA).

Anticipated Price Increase for Petrol and Diesel

On January 31, the regulatory body is anticipated to raise the price of gasoline and diesel by Rs 7 per litre each, following consecutive months of significant alleviation. The new rates will be in force from February 1 until February 15.

Pakistan’s Anticipated New Fuel and Diesel Prices
In Pakistan, the price of a litre of petrol is now Rs 259.34, while a litre of high-speed diesel is available for Rs 276.21.

In the event that the government authorises a seven-rupee rise in the price of both goods, petrol will now cost Rs 266.34 per litre and diesel Rs 283.21 per litre.
