A Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) official has given a hint that there is a slight chance we might witness a Twenty20 cricket series between India and Pakistan this year..

The official, who demanded that his identity should not be revealed as he is not entitled give a statement regarding the matter, in the beginning he denied to comment on the chance of cricket peace workings between the two old opponents.

Afterwards, though, he said that even though no one had talked to him openly about the renewal of cricket relations but clues are being released and there is a faded flicker of hope. “We have been told to be prepared,” he said.

Regarding this, PCB Chairman Ehsan Mani on Tuesday stated that “no one has contacted us and we are not in talks with the Indian board”.

The last joint series between Pakistan and India was conducted in India in 2012-13. PCB sources mentioned that if the series is feasible, the Indian team will come to Pakistan because it was Pakistan who went to India the previous time.

Both teams, since the joint series happened nine years ago, have often played against each other in International Cricket Council occasions such as the Asia Cup.
