Just a few days ago, Juventus star made his global influence known as during a media talk before Portugal’s match against Hungary in Budapest, Ronaldo set aside two of Coca-Cola bottles in front of him, which, many news highlighted, it became a reason the global soft drink company to lose alroud $4 billion in store value.

Sky news reported it as: “Football star @Cristiano Ronaldo removed two bottles of tournament sponsors Coca-Cola as he entered a #Euro2020 news conference before encouraging people to drink water.”

On the other hand, Tim Crow, a marketing professional who has for 20 years worked as an consultant to Coca-Cola, called such reports “complete nonsense”. He clarified

“American investors are not driven by what happens in a press conference ahead of a European football match. It doesn’t work like that. Tonnes of stocks went down for several reasons but the two things are not related. There are a billion servings of Coke every day. I think they’ll be OK” he mentioned .
