The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has made an announcement regarding the supply of gas during Iftar and Sehr in an effort to better serve its customers during the holy month of Ramadan.

Moreover, the utility company has also warned that low gas pressure will occur from 8 AM to 2:30 PM due to a 250 million mmbtu shortfall, which will cause the shutdown of gas supply to several regions.

Dissatisfied customers have consequently voiced their worries and complaints, claiming that the outage has prevented them from preparing meals for the elderly, kids, and patients who can’t observe fast.

In contrast, Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has revealed special plans to guarantee a constant supply of gas to its customers throughout Ramadan.

The company has committed to taking immediate action to ensure full pressure gas supply, especially for domestic consumers between 2:30 AM and 6 AM and 4 PM and 9 PM. The gas load-shedding in various regions, however, is drawing criticism from the public.

A spokesperson for SNGPL also reassured customers that the company would guarantee natural gas supply outside of the specified times, allowing them to go about their everyday affairs uninterrupted.
