250,000 people in Sindh to receive covid-19 vaccine by mid-January

Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuhu, Sindh minister for health has made the announcement that around 250,000 coronavirus vaccines will be provided in Sindh by the mid of this month i.e. January.

National Vaccine Task Force and the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), with the help of these two organizations, vaccines will be made available in the province as stated by Dr Azra during a meeting chaired by her on the particular subject.

She clarified: “Nearly 250,000 vaccines will be provided to the province after the second week of the ongoing month,”

She further added that with the interval of almost 21 days, two doses of vaccine will be given to an individual.

“The first phase will include workers in the public and private health sector,” she said

In the second phase, right after the healthcare professionals, the vaccine will be given to the people older than 60 years of age or people with comorbid conditions.

At expo center Karachi, around 50 cubicles will be set up and on daily basis 5000 people will be administer with the vaccine.

Through a phone call, the individuals to be vaccinated will be informed beforehand.
