A domestic passenger travelling from Lahore to Karachi was mistakenly flown to Jeddah due to the negligence of a private airline.

The passenger boarded an international flight without a passport or visa,

The airline staff’s error led to the passenger being detained in Jeddah, while the blame was placed on the traveller.
When he requested to be returned to Karachi, the airline reportedly told him to purchase a new ticket.

“It wasn’t my fault; due to the airline’s mistake, I ended up in Jeddah,” the passenger said in response. Authorities have now taken notice of the incident and launched an inquiry into how the passenger reached Jeddah without the required travel documents.

The Pakistan Airports Authority has issued a letter to the Civil Aviation Authority and the relevant station manager.
In the letter, the authority has urged strict action and called for a heavy fine to be imposed on the airline responsible for the serious lapse.
