Indian actor Fish Venkat passed away aged 53

Renowned Indian comedian and actor Fish Venkat has died at the age of 53.

Mangalam Pali Venkatesh, known widely by his screen name Fish Venkat, had been suffering from kidney disease. His kidneys had failed entirely, and he remained on a ventilator for several days at a hospital in Hyderabad. He died yesterday.

Venkatesh began his career in 2000 and appeared in numerous Telugu films, often portraying villainous and comic roles. He gained popularity for his performances in several commercially successful productions.

In recent days, reports surfaced of a hoax involving a fake phone call allegedly from actor Prabhas, claiming that Venkat’s family would receive ₹5 million for a kidney transplant.
