SpaceX launched 24 Starlink satellites into low-Earth polar orbit late on Friday from California.
The Falcon 9 rocket lifted off at 8.52 p.m. PDT from Pad 4 East at Vandenberg Space Force Base. Approximately eight minutes after launch, the rocket’s first-stage booster successfully landed on the droneship Of Course I Still Love You, stationed in the Pacific Ocean.
This marked the booster’s 14th flight, the 141st mission using this vessel, and the 477th landing on a SpaceX droneship overall.
With this launch, SpaceX has flown 88 Falcon 9 rockets in 2025, contributing to a cumulative total of 516 Falcon 9 launches conducted from California and Florida.
The satellites were successfully deployed into polar orbit about one hour after liftoff.
According to details, the Starlink constellation now comprises 7,965 active satellites launched since 2019. The network provides broadband internet and direct-to-cell connectivity services.
The next SpaceX launch from Florida is scheduled for 5.12 p.m. EDT on Monday. A Falcon 9 will lift off from Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, carrying the fifth pair of 03b mPower satellites to medium-Earth orbit for the Luxembourg-based operator SES.
