A second fatality from the Congo virus has been reported in Karachi, raising fresh concerns about the spread of the deadly disease in the city.
The deceased was a 26-year-old resident of Ibrahim Hyderi, who had been admitted to the Infectious Diseases Hospital. According to Dr. Abdul Waheed, the patient was brought in with high fever and symptoms of internal bleeding, both key indicators of the Congo virus.
This marks the second confirmed death linked to the virus in Karachi in recent weeks. Health officials are urging the public to take preventive measures, particularly when dealing with livestock or visiting high-risk areas.
